The irresistible Pink Sgroppino is the perfect Italian balance of sweet and tangy, with creamy sorbet making every sip pure bliss under the hot summer sun!

Sgroppino, which means “untie,” hails from Venice, Italy.

it is often enjoyed as a light and refreshing after-dinner drink or palate cleanser, much like sorbet. The name “Sgrappino” is derived from ‘sorbetto’ and ‘grappa,’ highlighting its primary ingredients. Traditionally, the Sgrappino is made with lemon sorbet, Prosecco, and a splash of vodka or grappa. The mixture is whisked or blended together to create a frothy, almost creamy texture that balances the tartness of the lemon with the effervescence of the sparkling wine from the Prossecco.

The Pink Sgroppino is a modern variation of the classic Sgrappino, serving as a contemporary twist on the traditional drink. The Pink Sgroppino is distinguished by its pink hue, achieved by substituting lemon sorbet with raspberry or strawberry sorbet. Additionally, pink Prosecco or a splash of rosé wine might be used to enhance the colour and flavour profile, adding a fruity sweetness.
